I have a friend that makes cuff bracelets and although I don't wear them I think they are really cool. I told her about grunge paper a few months ago but just now was able to get my hands on some. So I had to use it with the new Tim Holtz die cuts. LOVE how it turned out! (The words on it are pages from Hamlet)
Here it is laying flat on my desk

Customized my blog
For awhile I've admired gals that had customized their blogs. I could never figure out where to get them, until today. So I've updated mine :) Thanks to Jordan (who took a computer graphics class this last year) I was even able to customize my top banner. (I customized my craft blog too)
woooooohoooooooo
I posted on my crafts blog a few times since I did here. If you'd like you can check it out here
We got a new kitten. He's 8 weeks old, and thankfully already box trained. We named it Target (because there is a white ring around his tail that looks like a bullseye) I'm seriously thinking of changing his name to Trouble. WOW! He's in to everything, always getting on the kitchen counters (he likes to lay in the sun coming in from the window over the sink) It's like having a 2 year old in the house all over again. LOL I've already lost my new flipflops to his teething (not to mention the phone book) I thought I had pictures already uploaded to the computer but I don't, so I will do that later.
You know how sometimes something one of your kids does just cracks you up for weeks on end? Well a few weeks ago I went into the front bathroom (that's the kids bathroom and I dont go in there much except to clean it) and when I went to use some toilet paper I saw this:
So until the next time I remember to update my blog :) Be good.

Slowly losing my mind lol
Since it's been so long since I've updated this blog I figured today was a good day to do it. And since I still have no job and no car at home(hubby has been taking mine to work to try and save money) I've been going a bit (well not a BIT - A LOT) stir crazy. Yesterday my cousin Deborah called and asked me to come and that's when it really hit. Today I got put of bed feeling sorry for myself because I feel like I do nothing but play on the computer all day long (and watch TV) so I decided that today I was going to turn my being on the computer all day into something positive!
I am in charge of my wards Super Saturday in August, I know that if I dont get started now it will never happen. So I spent all of today (except for 2 hours that I watched the movie "Marley and me" with Alex - such a CUTE movie!) looking for ideas. Wednesday evening we had an Enrichment Board meeting and we talked a little about SS. We decided we don't want just crafty things. I am a papercrafter so sewing and other things are a little out of my comfort zone, Well I found some really awesome blogs in my search for ideas. I started out on 30day blog ( http://thirtyhandmadedays.blogspot.com ) This blog has such a HUGE variety of ideas, I followed a bunch of the links to all kinds of ideas. Before I knew it, Mike was calling me to tell me he was on his way home from work and I still hadn't gotten dressed for the day.
BTW for those of you looking to save money - one of the blogs I ended up on while looking at shrink art Christmas ornaments even has a recipe for homemade laundry soap ($2.50 for 5 gallons WOW) ( http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/02/make-your-own-laundry-soap.html )
So I am off to finish getting the boys ready for the camping trip they are going on tonight. Mike and I are a little excited they are going because we will have over 24 hours of no kids - no idea what to do with ourselves though lol

We got (re)married!
Wow - I can't believe it's been MONTHS since I last updated.
Well the latest and greatest news - Mike and I remarried December 26, 2008. We are both very different people than we were at 21 and 22 - when we got married the first time (and even more different than we were at 27 and 28 - when we got divorced)
We were laughing the other day because we realized we were divorced longer than we were married the first time around.
We kept it very simple. (No pictures because my camera died as we tried to take the 1st picture) Bishop Bramwell married us in the Relief Society room at the church. We only invited the kids, and my grandparents (to also act as witnesses). My mom came too. We chose the 26th because Sarah was home for Christmas and it was important to me that she was there.
It's a little weird being married after being single for so long. I didnt have to ask if I could afford the scrapbooking supplies, or remember to let him know I had a RS leadership meeting, or let anyone know that I take dinner once a month to my grandparents, and the weirdest thing of all is remembering to call him my hushband and not "my ex" lol
Things are stressful right now. I can't find a job and he refuses to let me call Wes and see if he'd rehire me even though Chris quit. (In a way I'm relieved lol)
So there it is in a nutshell.. Life is good - very good!

Change Change everywhere
Lots of changes happening for our family.
Sarah has made the decision to spend her junior year of high school with her dad. He's bought her a car so she will be able to drive herself to seminary and school everyday, and she is hoping to drive to Bakersfield every so often to visit too. (She got her driver's license on July 19th - on her 1st try!)
I am currently looking for a new job. I have a great boss now, but 2 weeks ago we talked and decided that it's not working out. So I started looking for a new job and I had a job interview yesterday. I pray that they liked me enough to want to hire me.
With Sarah moving I decided that if I can get out of my lease that we need to move also. I can't justify having a huge house with a HUGE yard that I can't take care of. I remember growing up and our yard was always the worst looking on the block. I promised myself that I would never do that if I ever got into a house and I have done exactly that. It's so bad that someone taped a note on my door asking me to please take care of my yard. How humiliating that was.
Jordan will be starting high school this year. I know he's excited and apprehensive at the same time but I know it will be good for him.
Alex will be starting jr high this year. He applied and got into a special program called AVID that helps him to prepare for college. He will have to take a zero period P.E. class to be able to fit it in.
So there ya have it in 5 mins or less lol
Until next time....
